OUR VERDICT
The Godox V1 Pro S, the latest flash light from Godox, builds on the round-headed design that has been so popular with the Godox V1. The new model appears to be the same as the predecessor. It has a large screen on the back and navigation controls below. A tilt-and pan head is placed on top of the round head, which has made the A1 direct competition with the Profoto A1 Series. The V1 Pro is finished off with an infrared panel.
The flash may look the same, but the electronics inside have undergone a major overhaul. The Godox V1 Pro S has the same power output and recycle time as the V1, but it also features enhanced thermal cooling. This allows you to continue shooting longer. This improvement allows for over 100 shots without a cooling down. The V1 Pro offers a removable internal battery which can be charged directly using USB Type-C. The biggest change to the V1 Pro’s exterior is the innovative sub-flash, which can be mounted on the front.
This flash is a great choice for Sony, Nikon Canon, Fuji or Olympus users.
