OUR VERDICT
Hollyland M2 is a dual wireless microphone system that has entered a market crowded with similar products. Yet, it instantly manages to stand out with a set of features ideally suited to vloggers, influencers, content creators, and anyone in need of high-quality, camera or smartphone-compatible vocal mics without any fuss.
The wireless Lavalier microphones come in a small case that can be charged. They are attached quickly to presenters using small magnets. The magnets are strong enough to hold lightweight devices without any issues through a medium-weight wool sweater. T-shirts and shirts will also work.
The mics have no wired lavalier option, but they’re small enough to remain relatively discrete, despite the logo.
They are easy to use and offer plenty of control for noise cancellation and volume, either via the receiver connected to a digital camera or the LarkSound App if used with a smartphone.
The features are easy to use, the audio quality is excellent, it’s well priced, and you can get decent audio with no fuss.
What is Hollyland Lark M2?
The M2 builds on Hollyland’s reputation for their previous Lark models. In particular, the Lark M1. It stands out with its compact design and greatly enhanced feature set.
The receiver mic is slightly larger than the transmitter, but it’s still incredibly small and fits easily into a camera’s hot or cold shoe. The receiver can be connected to the camera using a standard 3.5mm out.
Lavalier mics are designed for speed. They look like two small disks and unlike other mics which use clips to attach them to clothing, these only have magnets. The magnets are strong and can easily hold the mics through a medium-weight woolen jumper. These magnets also offer more positioning options than a clip-mount system.
