Review of the Neewer TP62 Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod

Posted on August 17, 2024September 15, 2024

OUR VERDICT

In the past year, I have reviewed a number of travel tripods that are premium and watched others enter the market. They all compete to be the best. The TP62’s height is a notable feature. It’s still not quite the full height at 157cm. This depends on your height. However, the height is good enough to work from.

The tripod is also incredibly light, about 200g lighter than SmallRig FreeRover carbon fiber photo tripod kit AP-100. It has additional features, such as an accessory port. This is a lever-lock with five-section legs and it takes a lot longer to set up than the SmallRig or the Peak.

It looks beautiful, offers decent support and is beautifully finished. This tripod is a great option for stills or video if you want a little extra height but prefer lever locks.
